One More Mile

If I can look at you with longing,
But can't find admiration,
There's no reason to begin.
If we played at it like lovers
Substituting passion,
Far too Empty'd be the sin.
And I want
So much more - than that!
To believe, to love, to share!
Inspire me with your wonders, and
The depth your soul can bare!
If the Day ends with your gentle touch
And the night falls on your smile,
And all the hours in-between
I've got your your heart, and soul, and style
Then I'll Beg the chance
To walk together one more mile.

Some search for redemption
Me, I just want forgiveness
From the evils that I've been
Somewhere inside a child who
Huddles in the darkness
Prays for daylight to begin.
But I want
So much more - than that!
To believe, to love, to share!
Inspire me with your wonders, and
The depth your soul can bare!
If the Day ends with your gentle touch
And the night falls on your smile,
And all the hours in-between
I've got your your heart, and soul, and style
Then I'll Beg the chance
To walk together one more mile.

Every life's a journey

Each step a destination

From the first until the end

A voyage filled with meaning

Must drink in condemnations

Yet contribute as it bends!

On certain days the passage
Seems to take forever
Look again, a decade's gone.
Revel in the rhythms
Regrets and triumphs never, well they
Just don't seem to last for very long...
They just don't seem to matter very long...
They just don't seem to matter very long...
